National Forest Adventure Farm

JPSL have been providing technical services and supporting the National Forest Adventure Farm with their huge range of projects since 2013. We have been involved with everything from basic installations to complete show control at their popular Screamfest Halloween event. We've provided sound in their Maize Maze, lights in Santa's Grotto and even power to the Farm. JPSL has the knowledge to make it happen.

"The National Forest Adventure Farm offers exciting indoor funoutdoor adventure and farm animals. The Farm hosts many events throughout the year including Easter Activities, huge summer Maize Maze, spooky Halloween daytime fun, scary night time Halloween Screamfest and Christmas celebrations.

The National Forest Adventure Farm started life as the National Forest Maize Maze back in 2004. Each year has grown and grown until the Adventure Farm opened as an all year round attraction in May 2011"

Being based in Burton-on-Trent means it's on the doorstep of our Midlands branch, so our project managers are only moments away in the case of any technical difficulty to ensure that the Farm can continue to provide great days out all year round. Providing temporary solutions for events, or permanent installations for long-term attractions, we support the Farm with cost-effective, turnkey solutions throughout the year.

JPSL provide the technical solutions and infrastructure to help put the scream into Screamfest - just one of the major events we support at the Farm each year. Held in October, the National Forest Adventure Farm is transformed into Screamfest: a Halloween terror event that takes place at night. Five different scare attractions are designed to play with all the senses, getting pulses racing and terrifying visitors.

On each scare attraction, JPSL has developed a custom control system to operate all the technical show elements, from lighting, sound and projection to smoke effects. The control system is able to take triggers from sensors and push buttons to enable the lighting and sound to be perfectly in-sync with the actors and to follow the participants through each attraction. There are also emergency stop buttons which will halt the show and bring a safe lighting level throughout, in case it all gets too much! The system reports to both on-site technicians and off-site managers, so we can quickly react to ensure all the attractions run smoothly.
